So join us on Sunday 29th Decembe at 11:45 for a photography session in Whitstable. We’ve split the event into two parts. Part 1 involves photographing the renowned Whitstable Oyster Farm. With the incoming tide, the oyster beds create a stunning scene, especially when using a long exposure. Here’s the plan: - 10:59: Low tide. - 11:30: Meet by the Whitstable Oyster Company for a 11:45 start -11:45 Walk down to the beach and start to set up - 12:15-13:00 My best estimate of when the best window is to enter the water and start taking photos. It could be later, but by arriving fairly soon after low tide we will NOT miss the optimum period - 14:00: Probaly the lower detail is going and it’s getting too deep for wellingtons. The best photos are taken close to the beds. You’ll need wellington boots or, if you’re brave, go barefoot! We should allow time to return the wellingtons to cars. Part 2 Harbour and beach walk Since time isn’t critical now, we could have a coffee and then head along the beach to the fascinating harbour, finishing around 16:00. There will not be so many people as llast time and it is a very photogenic area.
