Romanian Saturday School teaches language, culture & traditions, helping children build identity, confidence and stay connected.
The Romanian Saturday School “Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt”, delivered by RO KENT CIC, brings learning to life through a wide range of engaging and hands-on activities. Children explore the Romanian language through games, storytelling, reading, and conversation, while also taking part in creative experiences such as traditional crafts, music, dance, and seasonal celebrations.
From painting Easter eggs with natural colours, making traditional pastries, learning poetry, to discovering Romanian history and customs, each session is designed to be interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful. Pupils can join at any time during the year, as activities are organised around different themes, allowing everyone to take part and feel included.
Throughout their journey, pupils work towards recognition through the AQA Unit Award Scheme, receiving official certificates that celebrate their achievements. The units were written by our school coordinator and we are proud to share this achievement and to share the resources with all other Romanian Saturday Schools in the UK and around the world.
The school creates a joyful space where children connect with their heritage, build confidence, and form lasting friendships within a vibrant community.
