AI-Powered Storytelling for Content Creators
Summary
We’ve run several sell-out courses on creating digital stories for an online audience. Now the creative process has been turbocharged by AI, providing creators with powerful new tools and styles to work with.
This practical one-day workshop will show you how to use AI to help create compelling text, visual, data and audio stories that grab attention online. The workshop will explore how AI has expanded the creative canvas, serving as a powerful co-pilot in generating ideas, producing and re-purposing content for diverse audiences. It definitely does not advocate the sharing of AI-generated stories.
The workshop will help you to understand how AI is changing how audiences find content online, and which platforms work best for different tasks, including research, transcription, image generation, scriptwriting, drafts and more. Participants will leave with an online toolkit that puts free, easy-to-use tools at their fingertips.
Please note: This workshop does not cover video in depth, but ties in with our one-day workshop on mobile video creation. See the separate course details for more information and timing.
What will I learn?
● Responsible use of AI for search, research and story ideas.
● How to create text-based explainer story drafts (lists, Q&As, timelines, fact checks and more)
● Simple ways to discover and create data-driven stories.
● Understand how AI is changing online audience habits.
● Tips for using and optimising AI prompts.
● How to generate images (and when not to use them).
● How to use audio transcription, combine an audio clip+image to create an audiogram, and make an audio explainer using AI text-to-speech and voice clone technology.
Who’s it for?
Creative professionals - freelance or working with an arts or culture organisation in Wales. Some experience of creating content for a website or social media is desirable, but knowledge of AI is not required.
Note: Established AI tools will be used during the workshop, including a few which may require free registration. Ho
