About This Event

A workshop titled 'ANIFEILIAID DOF - TAMME DYR - DOMESTICATED ANIMALS' will be held at g39 on 14 November 2026. Led by artist Hattie Morrison, the session invites participants to explore themes related to gendered objects and folklore while creating zines and collages. The workshop is part of a series commissioned by the Arts Council of Wales.

A writing, making and zine workshop hosted by Hattie Morrison - an artist, facilitator and writer from Carmarthenshire.

For the workshop, participants are invited to bring along an item from their own domestic space that they consider ‘feminine’ - before exploring notions such as (but not limited to) performance without an audience, gendered objects, what fake folklore could be and the root of old wive’s tales. Participants will then make their own folkloric zines and collages throughout the session using archival, kitsch and kitchen materials, for an exhibition alongside participants from Capel Bethel, the National Museum of Wales, University of Oslo and multiple creative sites in Bergen, Norway. All participants will be credited for their involvement.

The workshop, hosted at g39, is part of a workshop series commissioned by the Arts Council of Wales with The Nordic Culture Fund, and is a Northern European Mobility Opportunity (NEMO).
