Get ready to vibe live at the Black History Wales Music Festival 2026, celebrating beats and culture in person!

Black History Wales Music Festival returns to Cardiff for a major celebration of Black music, culture and community in Wales.

Taking over Y Plas at Cardiff University Students’ Union, the festival brings generations together for an evening of live music, DJs, dance, fashion, food, creativity and culture.

From 6pm to 9pm, families can enjoy a welcoming programme of activities including live performances, dance, djembe, arts and crafts, face painting, a 360 camera experience and much more.

As the evening continues, the festival moves into a high-energy celebration of music, with artists, DJs, performers and creatives taking over the stage.

Expect an exciting mix of sounds and cultures, from Afrobeats and African music to R&B, hip hop, dance and music being created right here in Wales.

This is more than a concert. It is a celebration of the people, communities and creativity shaping Black culture in Wales today.

Come with your family. Come with your friends. Come and celebrate with us.
