National Trust Cymru is celebrating Calan Gaeaf across Wales this Autumn. Calan Gaeaf marks the beginning of winter in the Welsh calendar (1 November). Traditionally, the night before, Nos Galan Gaeaf (31 October) is said to be a time where the veil between our world and the Otherworld is at its thinnest - meaning mystical creatures can roam the earth. Dyffryn Gardens is marking the turn of the season with a family trail. Experience the magic of the Autumnal gardens and and step into the world of the Tylwyth Teg - the fae of Welsh folklore. Keep your eyes open as you explore, as you might spot some fairy doors tucked away in the gardens, stumble upon some giant mushrooms or discover somewhere the Tylwyth Teg might call home.
