About This Event

We invite young people aged 12-18YO from Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan to join us at the Cardiff Hangout for Tabletop RPG Adventures. Power Up is hosting several workshops over summer break 2026! Being creative, moving and socialising is a great way to feel well, and learning new skills can be fantastic for your self esteem - so we have planned a summer break packed with it all, for free, for young people and young adults in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Join us for Tabletop RPG Adventures at The Hangout! We'll be joined by Tom, Playframe's Gaming Technologist and professional GM, to run role playing sessions for young people - including the original, youth-created game Biosphere Guardians 2050 (https://loco-ludus.itch.io/biosphere-guardians-2050) Each session will be a 3hr one-shot adventure, or a multi-session campaign that is easy to join by newcomers. All decisions of what to play made by YOU in the group! Youth Project: This event is for those aged 12 - 18. All our facilitators are DBS checked youth workshop facilitators, so parents/guardians of under-16s can go off and explore Cardiff town centre Ability Requirements: NONE. The session is suitable for new and experienced players, using pre-made characters, an accessible system, and safety tools to ensure everyone is having a good time Language: This session will be delivered in the first language of the facilitator, which is English. Booking: Make sure to have one ticket for each young person taking part in the session. Parents/guardians do not need tickets. Cost : FREE!! We are able to support with travel arrangements where necessary - please let us know if you can make your own way/ have a lift or if you need help to arrange this in the relevant section. Key Event Details: 1:00-1:15 - Facilitators, Players and Parent/Guardians gather at Cardiff Hangout (26-28 Churchill Way, Cardiff, CF10 2DY) 1:15-1:30 - Facilitators introduce Players to their tabletop adventure venue, introducing the setting. 1:30 - 2:30 - Play Session 2:30 - 3.00 - Comfort Break 3:00 - 3:45 - Play Session Continues 3:45 - 4:00 - Evaluation, wraps and return home Please fill out the order form carefully to sign up and a practitioner will be in contact with reminders etc. If you have any more questions, please email PowerUp@platfform.org
