Dive into the fascinating world of movement and discover what makes every motion tick!

The Anatomy of Movement

Get ready to dive into motion like never before! This in-person event is all about exploring the fascinating mechanics behind how we move. Whether you're curious about the science or just love learning new things, come join us for a fun and interactive experience. See you there!

Moving Beyond Clinical Anatomy

See Movement More Clearly. Assess More Accurately. Treat With Greater Confidence.

Do you struggle to see anatomy in movement?

Do anatomical terms sometimes feel disconnected from what you see in your clients?

Would you like the confidence to create assessments, treatments, and exercises without relying on memorised protocols?

This is the anatomy course many practitioners wish they had taken at the beginning of their career.

Most anatomy education provides valuable information about structures, attachments, and actions. Yet many movement and manual therapists are left wondering how to apply that knowledge to the living, moving person in front of them.

This training bridges that gap.

Rather than teaching anatomy as a collection of isolated facts, we explore it as a dynamic system that explains how and why humans move. You will develop a practical framework that helps you understand movement, solve clinical problems, and confidently create interventions tailored to each individual.

The Aim of the Training

To help you understand anatomy in a way that develops clinical reasoning, movement analysis skills, and the confidence to work beyond textbook examples.

Over three immersive weekends, you will learn to:

Organise the language of anatomy and movement into a clear, logical framework.

Build fluency in the vocabulary of movement so you can communicate and analyse movement with confidence.

Distinguish between movement mechanics and movement qualities, reducing confusion and improving clarity in observation and discussion.

Understand how anatomy, biomechanics, gravity, momentum, and reaction forces combine to create human movement.

Develop a systems-based understanding of the body that allows you to see both the whole and the individual parts.

Create more individualised assessments, treatments, and movement programmes.

A Different Way of Learning Anatomy

Instead of beginning with isolated structures and working outward, we begin with the whole body and gradually move into greater detail.

By understanding the larger patterns first, the details become easier to understand, remember, and apply.

Drawing from multiple anatomical disciplines, we will explore:

Evolutionary anatomy – understanding why humans are built the way they are and how our evolutionary history influences movement.

Developmental anatomy – exploring how the body organises itself throughout growth and development.

Comparative anatomy – using comparisons with other species to reveal the principles that shape human structure and function.

Functional anatomy – understanding how bones, joints, fascia, muscles, and connective tissues work together to create efficient movement.

This three-weekend training is designed for movement and manual therapists who want to understand anatomy more deeply, analyse movement more effectively, and gain greater confidence in clinical decision-making.

Rather than teaching a fixed method or proprietary system, this course provides a practical framework that can be applied to any assessment, treatment approach, or movement practice.

By the End of the Training You Will:

Understand why humans move the way they do.

Be fluent in the language of anatomy and movement.

Analyse movement with greater accuracy and confidence.

Understand the relationship between structure, force, and function.

Create more precise assessments, treatments, and exercise programmes.

Position clients in ways that produce predictable and measurable movement responses.

Describe and explain movement clearly using a logical and practical framework.

See anatomy as an integrated whole rather than a collection of disconnected parts.

Most importantly, you will leave with a practical system for understanding movement that can support your work for years to come.
