📅 Thursday 22 October 2026 | 🕐 13:00 | Cardiff

Becoming a parent is a huge life change. For many people, it also means navigating pregnancy, parental leave, returning to work and continuing to build a career.

So what can employers do to make that transition work better? And what difference can getting it right make to retention, workplace culture and productivity? We’re bringing together a strong panel:

Sarah Rees MS, Member of the Senedd

Michelle Matheron, Director, Learning and Work Institute

Katie Spackman, Deputy Director, CBI Wales

Daniel Taylor, Cadno Communications

We’ll explore:

What meaningful support looks like in practice

The experience of becoming a parent while working

How employers can support people before, during and after parental leave

What this means for retention, recruitment, culture and productivity

This conversation isn’t just for parents. Men and women, parents and non-parents, employers and employees are all welcome.
