Cover crops, healthy soils and healthier farmers

Join us on Friday, 30 October in Teagasc Oak Park, Carlow for a practical tillage event exploring how cover crops can help build healthier, more resilient soils, with demonstrations of different establishment methods and practical soil health assessment techniques. Irish Heart Foundation farmer health checks available on the day.

On the day attendees will see:

Over 20 different cover crop species on display

Comparison of different cover crop establishment methods: Drone-sown, Broadcast into the standing crop, Sown at harvest, Sown post-harvest

Discussion on the role of cover crops in building soil health

Practical soil health assessment techniques
