Get ready for the next Prelude!

This time, we’re heading to Platform 26 Padel in Chatham for a relaxed, social game of padel with local singles aged 24–38.

Whether you’ve never played before or you’re already a regular on the court, you’re very welcome. We’ll start with a coached introduction covering the basics, so complete beginners can get involved without feeling out of their depth.

We’ll then have up to 1 hour 30 minutes of court time, with partners rotating throughout the session so you get to play with and chat to different people.

The aim isn’t to take things too seriously — it’s about playing some padel, meeting new people and having a good time. There’ll be a relaxed atmosphere throughout, with plenty of opportunity to get to know everyone.

Afterwards, we’ll head into the social space and bar at Platform 26 for drinks, chats and a chance to mingle.

Come on your own or bring a friend. Try something new, meet some local singles, have a laugh — and who knows who you might end up clicking with. 😉

Welcome to Singles' Social Club Rochester 👋

So… how are we supposed to meet people these days?

Dating apps? Exhausting.

Speed dating? Potentially awkward, and somehow expensive.

Going into London every weekend in the hope of meeting someone or making new friends?

Surely there’s another way.

That’s the idea behind Singles' Social Club Rochester.

A social club for local singles aged 24–38, created to make meeting new people feel a little more natural — and a lot more fun.

We’ll get together for everything from padel, pilates, paddleboarding and bouldering to yoga, dinners, comedy nights, cruises, pub quizzes, day trips and the occasional drink or two. Some events will be active, some relaxed, some slightly ridiculous — but they’ll all have one thing in common: a group of people who are actually up for meeting others.

Come on your own or bring a friend. Try something new. Make some friends. Have a drink. Have a laugh. Maybe flirt a little. And who knows… you might even meet someone you’d like to see again.

The events are aimed at 24–38-year-olds, but don’t worry if you’re a little outside that range — if you think you’ll fit in, you’re welcome.

We’ll aim to keep the groups roughly balanced between guys and girls, while making sure the focus stays on having a genuinely good time rather than treating every event like a dating exercise.

Why “Prelude”?

Each event is called a Prelude — Prelude 1, Prelude 2, Prelude 3 and so on.

Why? Because hopefully each one is the beginning of something: a new friendship, a new connection, a new experience… or perhaps something a little more.
