A special event hosted by Read Easy Medway.

Read Easy Medway helps adults learn to read – our coaching is free, one-to-one and fully confidential.

As part of the National Year of Reading, we’re hosting a special event to celebrate the charity’s work and supporters, while sharing our passion for reading.

We’d like you to come and join us at MidKent College’s Gillingham campus on Thursday 24th September and help us spread the word about Read Easy Medway.

We’re hoping to raise awareness of our work, encourage more volunteers and potential readers to join us, and forge partnerships with the local community.

There are 2.4 million people in England who can’t read at all or can barely read, and at Read Easy we are passionate about helping them.

Our programme includes presentations from:

Lily Staunton from the National Literacy Trust

Chika Jones and Sam Rapp - local poets

Douglas Hamandishe - Mayor of Medway and author

Ally Round - local guitarist

Paul Ives - Reading Coach

Food and drink will be available.
