Why it matters:

Every year, millions of women and men across England and Wales experience domestic abuse and for many, the moment they most need help is the moment it’s least safe to make a phone call. Ask Joan was built to close that gap: a discreet alert sent through a home’s smart meter, silently, safely, when it counts most.

The story behind it:

Ask Joan was founded by domestic abuse survivor Katy Longhurst, in honour of her late grandmother, Joan. What began as one woman’s determination to protect others has grown, with Kent’s Oasis Domestic Abuse Service, into a registered charity delivering life-saving technology into the homes that need it most.

Every ticket funds an Ask Joan device. Every raffle number funds a lifeline. Every seat at this table is a seat at the table for someone who couldn’t ask for help any other way.
