About This Event

Retro Gaming from Melee occurs at Hot Box in Chelmsford on 6 October 2026. The venue hosts a Super Smash Bros Melee tournament starting at 19:00 for players aged 14 and over. A winner receives £20 and a pint while spectators can watch the brackets.

It's Retro Gaming at HotBox.............and Melee is ever present.

Warm your hands with alcohol and tech chases for the latest tournament

The venue is a minute walk from the train & bus station (30 mins from Liverpool St) and is fully kitted out with a bar and the space for newcomers and veterans alike.

16 Cap, 5 set-ups. 14+, anyone under 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian and must make that known to the TO beforehand or on arrival. Doors open at 6, with bracket to start at 7; hopefully finishing at around 10:30/11.

Winner gets £20 and a pint. That pint never tasted so good.
