About This Event

Expert Joe McSorley will lead a fungi exploration walk on Cleeve Common in Bishops Cleeve on 7 November 2026. Tickets cost £8.00, participants are advised to wear sturdy footwear, and Flynn's restaurant at the golf club will be open for refreshments.

More of a wander than a walk you will be encouraged to try and ignore the magnificent views from time to time and turn your eyes downwards, to the hidden world beneath your feet which occasionally shows itself with a fruiting body in the shape of a mushroom or toadstool.

Cleeve Common does have some steep terrain so a moderate level of fitness is required.

£8 per ticket (incl booking fee). Booking in advance is recommended.

Please dress for the weather on the day, wear sturdy footwear and bring a hand lens if you have one. Though this is by no means a requirement.

Flynn's on the Hill restaurant based at the golf club will be open for lunch and refreshments.
