Join us for a cosy afternoon drawing from a still life arrangement in Cheltenham.

It's time to get out those pencils, pastels and watercolours, and join me (Georgina) for an afternoon of drawing in one of Cheltenham's cosiest pubs this Autumn.

What to expect:

A still life arrangement will be provided, giving you the inspiration you need to make a start. This is an untaught session, however if you are unsure of where to start I'll be happy to help.

All skill levels are welcome.

Don't have materials of your own? Not to worry, I'll provide the basics - paper, charcoal, pencils. Please feel free to bring along anything else you wish to use.

About the venue:

The Railway (https://www.therailwaycheltenham.co.uk/) is a much loved pub with lots of events going on throughout the week. They have an excellent drink selection and their kitchen offers a range of extremely yummy Thai dishes. Their kitchen is closed between 3-5pm, however if you arrive hungry, you'll have plenty of time to place an order.

What to expect:

Arrival from 1:50pm

Start drawing at 2pm

There will be scheduled breaks throughout

Finish by 4:30pm, with the option to join us for a drink in the bar afterwards

What is the Cheltenham Art Group?

Whether you've been painting for years, or haven't picked up a pencil since you were at school, this is the space for anyone with an interest in art. Alongside workshops and socials, we meet up to explore the Cotswolds rich arts scene - we look forward to meeting you!

A little about me (Georgina):

I moved to Cheltenham a couple of years ago and have always loved art and maintained my own creative practice. When I lived in London previously I ran regular art tours throughout the west end, and have found myself missing the culture, art and community that I found there. So, what better way to reconnect with art and meet others along the way than by providing a space where we can come together and draw? Following a successful series of 'Drawing in Pitville Park' sessions (images below) throughout the summer, I'm now back to offer something a little different for the new season. I look forward to meeting you and seeing what you create!
