Why "Quilt-As-You-Go" (QAYG)?

Traditional quilting involves wrestling a massive "quilt sandwich" through a small sewing machine. With QAYG, we quilt each block individually as we make it. By the time you’ve finished your blocks, your quilting is already done! You simply join the finished pieces together.

The Sampler Route

New Skills Every Month: Each session introduces a different block (half square triangles (HST's) Flying Geese, Applique etc.).

The result - A stunning, eclectic Sampler Quilt that tells the story of your growth.

The Specialist Route

Master One Design - Find a block you love? Use every session to create multiples of that design.

The Result - A cohesive, themed quilt with perfectly practiced precision.

Our sessions are fully flexible. Book month to month as your schedule allows, or sign up for a 6-month block to commit to a full quilt project.

Fabric requirements for the 9 block sampler quilt

All fabrics are 100% craft cotton of the same weight

Colour ( Size 40” wide roll)

Background (White) White/cream with small pattern or plain 1.75m

Light (Grey) Pastel colour with small pattern or plain 1.25 m

Medium (Maroon white small spot ) Not dark or light small pattern 2 m

Medium 2 (Lime green) Not dark or light small pattern (accent colour) 1.5 m

Dark (Black marbled effect) Dark to black/navy/ dk green etc 2m

Dark 2 (Brown / gold /black pattern small) Dark to black with small pattern 1.50m

Backing Cotton or brushed cotton 3.5m

Bias Binding Match or contrast colour 6m or 25mm

Bondaweb (double sided adhesive) 10”

Wadding 2oz 54” 3.5m
