This October half-term, step into a world of Welsh folklore at Erddig, with mysterious characters to discover, puzzles to solve and family activities inspired by Calan Gaeaf.

Follow a trail through the garden, where Hwch Ddu Gwta has appeared. Search for clues, crack the code and discover the magic word needed to send this mischievous creature back to the spirit world.

Inside the house, explore six rooms on a separate trail inspired by Welsh myths and legends. Discover characters from traditional stories as you make your way through the historic rooms.

There’s more to get involved in during half-term, with hands-on crafts including wishstone making, pumpkin carving and lantern decorating on selected days.

Make a day of it with a wander through the autumn garden, explore the house and see what mysteries you can uncover together.
