About This Event

A festival of art and ideas mapping Wrexham’s shared future [English Below] Croeso i Lle Llais 2026! Mae Lle Llais yn ŵyl gelfyddydol am ddim sy’n cynnwys adrodd straeon a mapio, a gynhelir yn y Ddôl Ofalgar ar dir Castell y Waun. Ymunwch â’r artist Lily Tiger a’r beirdd Natasha Borton a Rhys Trimble, ynghyd â thîm o fapwyr cymunedol y Map Cyhoeddus, i archwilio eich ardal leol a’ch gobeithion ar gyfer y dyfodol drwy gyfres o weithgareddau creadigol. Bydd seremoni agoriadol yn cael ei chynnal am 11yb dan arweiniad y bardd Natasha Borton, gyda gweithgareddau a pherfformiadau eraill yn cael eu cynnal drwy gydol y dydd. Mae Map Cyhoeddus yn brosiect cydweithredol rhwng Prifysgol Caergrawnt, Prifysgol Caerdydd, Prifysgol Bangor a Phrifysgol Wrecsam, sy’n archwilio sut y gellid gwneud y broses o gynllunio ein lleoedd yn decach, yn fwy cynhwysol ac yn fwy gwybodus drwy ddefnyddio data wedi’i fapio. Caiff ei ariannu gan Gyngor Ymchwil y Celfyddydau a’r Dyniaethau (AHRC) drwy Green Transition Ecosystems, sy’n rhan o Future Observatory, rhaglen ymchwil genedlaethol y Design Museum. Trwy ganiatâd caredig yr Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol. Welcome to Lle Llais 2026! Lle Llais is a free four-day festival of art, storytelling and mapping held in the Mindful Meadow on the grounds of Chirk Castle. Join artist Lily Tiger, poets Natasha Borton and Rhys Trimble, together with a team of community mappers from the Public Map, to explore your local area and your hopes for the future through a series of creative activities. An opening ceremony led by poet Natasha Borton will take place at 11am, with other activities and performances running throughout the day. Public Map is a collaborative project between the University of Cambridge, Cardiff University, Bangor University and Wrexham University, exploring how planning our places could become fairer, more inclusive and better informed through the use of mapped data. It is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) through Green Transition Ecosystems within Future Observatory, the Design Museum’s national research programme. Through kind permission of the National Trust.
