Explore the sites and sounds of Fingringhoe Wick and immerse yourself in nature.
We will start with a session on nature journaling, where you will be provided with a journal (there will be pens and pencils available, but you are welcome to bring your own) and explore ideas of ways you can present your findings. We will then wild wander around estuary paths on the reserve with ID guides to help explore the elements we pass through. Study walking shoes are a must! As we ramble, we will pause so you can compile a nature journal of your findings.

There is accessible parking next to the entrance to the Discovery Centre, and there is an all-terrain mobility scooter that can be borrowed if necessary. The reserve has gravel, woodland, and sandy paths with benches at numerous locations. There are some areas where the paths are narrow or require step access. Manoeuvrability is impaired in wetter conditions. Adders are on the reserve, and they are the UK's only venomous snake. Please stick to the paths and wear suitable footwear. Please do not touch them, they are shy creatures and will only bite if they feel they are in danger.
