About This Event

Swim around Glenbeg Lake in Ardgroom on the Beara Peninsula. Two swim distances - 4km or 400m. The Ardgroom Swim 2026 takes place on Saturday August 22nd 2026, at 2 pm. There are two swim distances - 4km, and 400m. You do not have to be a Swim Ireland member, but if you plan to swim the 4 km distance you must have completed a 3km swim this year! You can wear wetsuit or skins. Register at the small car park at Glenbeg Lake between 12:00 and 1:00 pm. The safety briefing (all swimmers must attend) is at 1:20 pm. The 4km swim starts at 2:00 pm. The 400m swim starts 10 minutes later. Ticket sales close at 8pm on 21st August. For safety reasons there can be no entries on the day. Swim instructions, swim route, etc. will be emailed to all swimmers in the days leading up to the swim. Keep an eye on the Ardgroom Swim FB event page for any last-minute updates. The Ardgroom Swim is not insured - all participants swim at their own risk. [All money raised is used to fund community initiatives in Ardgroom]
