About This Event

ICG Heat Pumps will host a business session on R290 safety and DSEAR requirements at the Coventry Building Society Arena on 5 November 2026 at 09:30. The free event also covers the latest Midea commercial heat pumps.

Join ICG Heat Pumps for a practical session on R290 safety, DSEAR requirements and the latest Midea commercial heat pumps.

Overview

Join us at Midea’s Training Centre at Coventry Football Club for the launch of ICG Heat Pumps new DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) assessment service.

If you are specifying or installing commercial heat pumps, you should be considering the most future-proof solutions possible. The market has chosen R290 (propane) refrigerant as the answer to future-proofing heat pump technology.

R290 is a flammable refrigerant, and so its use requires safety precautions which have not been needed with conventional heat pumps.

A DSEAR assessment should be done on any site where flammable refrigerants are to be used.

This will give advice on site-specific safety and will allow you to specify/install with confidence that the system is safe and compliant.

As well as information about propane safety and our new DSEAR assessment service, we will also cover product updates, including the Midea R290 MARS and R290 MARS Large ranges of commercial heat pumps.
