About This Event

Gorilla Circus brings *RPM* to Warwick Arts Centre on 29 October 2026, a work of physical theatre that melds circus, dance, and roller-skating to probe Britain’s uneasy reckoning with its colonial legacy. Through high-octane choreography and audacious acrobatics, the performance dramatises the friction between glorifying and interrogating the nation’s imperial history. A rotating cast of performers moves fluidly between unified sequences and solo stunts, mirroring the discordant voices within a national dialogue that remains far from resolved. This is not a simple celebration nor a straightforward condemnation; rather, it is a kinetic exploration of a past that continues to shape the present. The energy is relentless, the imagery provocative, and the questions it raises linger long after the final spin. Tickets start from £15.00, offering an accessible entry point to what promises to be a bold and thought-provoking evening of theatre.
