This beginner-friendly workshop takes place at the Bell Centre in Derby. Adults and children aged 5 and over can create polymer clay beads, charms and jewellery. Tickets are priced between £25.00 and £55.00.
Create your own colourful polymer clay beads, charms and jewellery in this fun, beginner-friendly workshop for adults and children aged 5+.
Suitable for adults and children aged 5 and upwards, this relaxed and supportive workshop will teach participants the basics of using polymer clay to create their own unique beads, charms, and jewellery. Using simple techniques, you'll learn how to shape, decorate, and finish your creations before transforming them into items such as bracelets, keyrings, phone straps, earrings, or decorative charms.
Participants are encouraged to explore the material and creative process at a pace and level that feels right for them. Liz will provide one-to-one guidance and support throughout the session, helping everyone develop confidence and creativity with this versatile material.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with at least one completed handmade item, along with new skills and knowledge to continue creating with polymer clay at home.

About Liz
Liz is a mixed media artist, educator, and facilitator with over 14 years' experience teaching in schools, colleges, and community settings. Alongside creating and teaching polymer clay jewellery, she runs the nature arts social enterprise Insecta Collective CIC and maintains an active fine art practice exploring themes of biodiversity, climate, environment, and place.
Her work has been exhibited at Derby Museum & Art Gallery, the Mall Galleries in London, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2022, and Sarasota Art Center, Florida. Passionate about participatory arts, Liz brings a supportive, encouraging, and creative approach to all of her workshops.
