On 31 October, The Hairy Dog in Derby is set to host a highly anticipated punk rock concert. The gig promises to be a thrilling experience, featuring an eclectic mix of bands that are certain to get the adrenaline pumping. The bill includes performances by Sex Pistols Exposé, Lizzie & The Banshees, Clashed, and We'll Be Damned, each bringing their unique brand of punk energy to the intimate 200-seat venue. With its diverse lineup, the concert is likely to appeal to fans of classic punk rock and those seeking a lively night out. Doors will open at an unspecified time, allowing attendees to soak up the pre-concert atmosphere before the music begins. Tickets are priced at £22.50, offering great value for a night of high-octane entertainment. Whether you're a seasoned punk fan or just looking for a fun night out, this event is not to be missed.
50 years after punk rock made a mark on London at the festival that brought together the best of the new upcoming punk bands, we celebrate with tributes to four of those groups - Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned and future icons to cross multiple genres, Siouxsie and the Banshees who were performing their very first live show.
Kicking off with DJ Mutant Movement at 5pm, you'll hear punk classics before and between the bands. The line up that follows have racked up over 20 gigs for Mutant Movement between them so you can be sure this event has the right bands for the night.
Sex Pistols Exposé ex Sex Pistols Experience
https://www.facebook.com/sexpistolsexpose/
Undoubtedly the Best Pistols show by far, no need to go see any other tribute as these packed out The Hairy Dog last year so you know we're on our way to selling out before getting into the others! They performed an extended set for the Derby crowd and we'll do our best to persuade them to do the same, maybe even a sneaky PiL cover!
Lizzie and the Banshees
https://www.facebook.com/LizzieAndTheBanshees
Their fourth appearance for Mutant Movement, they are certainly the fans' choice after selling a ton of tickets for The Hairy Dog in 2024 but had to be pulled due to a double booking of Banshees tributes, this time we have the one you all want to see. Covering every era of the Banshees but going deep into the Punk years, this is going to be one set not to miss!
The Clashed
https://www.facebook.com/TheClashed/
With their own Strummer and Jones, these guys are the only tribute band that matters when it comes to The Clash, vocal styles so close to both original singers and musicians that recreate every song with such accuracy. This will be the band's 6th gig for Mutant Movement, they played The Hairy Dog in 2022 as part of the Jubilee Tour with Sex Pistols Exposé.
We'll be Damned
On this, their debut gig for Mutant Movement, they open the show covering the back catalogue of both The Damned and The Ruts, concentrating on the first two albums for each band. They're on stage at 5:30pm so don't be late.
If the event is not SOLD OUT by the day, OTD price will be £30. Don't hold your breath though as this is sure to be packed to the rafters
