An interactive, ‘hands on’ approach for community workers & volunteers to explore place and identity in the Derry & Strabane Council area.

Are you a community worker or community volunteer? Game for something different?

EXPAND is an interactive, ‘hands on’ approach to exploring place and identity within the Derry City and Strabane District Council area. It aims to build the personal and professional experience of people who design and deliver peacebuilding and good-relations programmes to others. On this first of two ‘mystery’ days, expect to be taken out and about to 4 places to engage with different cultures and conversations and to experience ideas for locations and activities you could use in your own community work. Each day is unique and you can sign up to one or both.

9.15am - gather at Shared Future Centre carpark (free parking available)

9.30am sharp - bus leaves on 'mystery tour'

5.00pm - bus returns to Shared Future Centre carpark

Food and refreshments will be provided through the day. Please ensure you let us know any dietary or access requirements at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate these. A small amount of walking may be required between bus and various venues. If you live within the council area and have significant travel to reach the start point and require assistance, please contact peace@derrystrabane.com
