Hello, Eco Movers, Wildseekers and Shape Shifters!
What if we walked, had a picnic, then danced our way around the city?
On 1 October, Niall and I began a 195 km walking challenge throughout October to raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). Now, we want to bring that energy home — connecting people through movement, nature, creativity and collective action.
Join us for an informal 10 km dander around the bridges of Derry City. Expect good company, a picnic stop along the route, and music from Niall aka BOK-BOK DJ, bringing dark, progressive house and deep natural grooves into our outdoor gathering.
This isn't a race or a rigid itinerary. It's a chance to get outside, share some miles, enjoy a bit of food, move to the music and put our bodies behind what we believe in.
🌿 THE DANDER
We'll follow a circular route around Derry's bridges, taking in the city on foot and enjoying the company along the way.
We'll pause roughly halfway for a picnic and an impromptu Wildseeker dance session — so bring something to eat, something to drink and your willingness to move!
Wear comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. This is October in the North West, so come prepared for the elements.
⭕️ WHY WE WALK
Niall and I began our 195 km challenge because we wanted to do something tangible in the face of unimaginable suffering.
We walk because looking away is not an option. Because medical teams need support, and because solidarity must be more than words.
This gathering is a small, physical act of collective care: sharing the miles, raising funds and bringing our community together in support of Medical Aid for Palestinians.
All donations raised through this event will go to MAP, supporting its vital medical and humanitarian work.
🌑 DANDER TO DANCE
As Samhain approaches — that threshold between light and dark, endings and beginnings — we make space for the things we carry, physically, emotionally and collectively.
With our fifth wedding anniversary approaching, we're also taking a moment to celebrate connection, resilience and the power of coming together.
Expect a picnic, a little music, deep and progressive grooves, and the freedom to dance wherever the route takes us. No dance experience required. Just bring your wild self.
🌿 COME AS YOU ARE
Bring your friends, family, fellow Wildseekers and Shape Shifters. Whether you're here for the walk, the picnic, the music or the cause, you're welcome.
