Dive into history and celebrate the 1st woman to successfully swim The English Channel!

Dover Lifeguard Swimming Club and the Port of Dover invite you to join us at the Dover Sea Sports Centre to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Gertrude Ederle's historic swim across the English Channel. Whether you're a seasoned swimmer or just looking for a fun challenge, this is a swim you won't want to miss. ALL SWIMMERS will receive a Comemorative Gertrude Ederle Swim Hat as part of their event entry.

There are FOUR waves to choose from, please consider your swim speed:

Wave #1: Novice 500m Swim. Aimed at beginner swimmers, swimmers aged 11-13yrs or those wanting a tackle a shorter distance. Registration opens at 10.30am for a 12pm Swim Start. Cut-off time is 45 minutes.

Wave #2: Relaxed 2km Swim. Aimed at those who swim less than 2km per/hr (14yrs+). Registration opens at 11.15am for a 12.45pm Swim Start. Cut-off time is 1hr 15 minutes.

Wave #3: Moderate 2km Swim. Aimed at those who swim between 2-3km per/hr (14yrs+). Registration opens at 12.30pm for a 2pm Swim Start. Cut-off time is 1hr.

Wave #4: Fast 2km Swim! Aimed at those who swim 3km+ per/hr (14yrs+) and want to race! Registration opens at 1.30pm for a 3pm Swim Start. Cut off time is 45 minutes.
