Dover Heritage Open Days Guided Walk with Mel Wrigley
Take a gentle paced guided walk from Dover Priory train station looking at historic buildings and stopping to look at wild plants as we walk through Dover, towards the seafront and up the footpath and steps to the top of the White Cliffs of Dover. We’ll follow public rights-of-way as we discover and talk about the natural wild plants of the downland and hear about their uses both for people and wildlife. Hear about the formation of theChalk and flint rock, chalk downland and the wildlife that depends on this beautiful, biodiverse habitat; formation of the Channel, megafloods and the aspiring UNESCO Global Cross-Channel GeoPark. If weather is good wonder at the stunning sea views across to France!
There will be a short stop at the National Trust café for you to buy refreshments and use the toilet facilities before returning into Dover and back to the train station.

Dover Heritage Open Days Guided Walk with Mel Wrigley
