Kick off your festive season with some classic Christmas carols sung by Ascolta Vocal Ensemble, in aid of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland

Let us help you get into the Christmas spirit this year! Ascolta is an eight-voice choral ensemble based in Dublin. We are a group of singers who share a passion for music and love singing together. We are delighted to be returning to Newman University Church for our 2026 Christmas Concert, Angels, which will include sacred and secular Christmas hymns and carols that we all know and love!

This year’s programme explores the role of angels in the nativity story and how they have inspired choral composers in different ways. From Mary's visit by the Angel Gabriel all the way to the choirs of angels who sing and celebrate when Christ is born, we will perform four diverse pieces by different composers inspired by angels, alongside beloved festive tunes such as The Christmas Song, Ding Dong Merrily On High, Wexford Carol and White Christmas. Featuring composers such as John Rutter, Eric Whitacre, Eleanor Daley, Matthew Culloton and Eoin Conway, we’re sure to have something for everyone to enjoy.

Tickets are available online or at the door (cash or card accepted). All profits made from this event will be donated directly to The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (RCN: 20018238). If you can’t make it to the concert but wish to donate, please click here (https://alzheimer.ie/get-involved/become-a-friend-support-asi/donate/).
