Very special guest on the night will be legendary David Bowie guitarist Earl Slick. Expect joy and pure passion. “Let’s dance, let’s sing until they put me in the hole in ground!”  (Jacques Brel) Very special guest Earl Slick: Earl Slick’s remarkable career began in New York when composer Michael Kamen recognised his talent and introduced him to a world of established musicians, including David Sanborn and Paul Butterfield. His breakthrough came at just 22 when he successfully auditioned for David Bowie and joined the legendary Diamond Dogs tour. Slick went on to play on Bowie’s acclaimed albums Young Americans and Station to Station , beginning a musical relationship that would span several decades. After leaving Bowie, Slick formed the Earl Slick Band and collaborated with an extraordinary roster of artists, including Ian Hunter, John Lennon and Yoko Ono. He later reunited with Bowie in 1983, replacing Stevie Ray Vaughan for the hugely successful Serious Moonlight Tour following the release of Let’s Dance . Slick subsequently formed Phantom, Rocker & Slick, scoring two Top 10 singles, with his musical idol Keith Richards contributing to the single My Mistake . His long association with Bowie resumed in the early 2000s when Slick played on Toy , Heathen and Reality and joined Bowie on tour. He later contributed to Bowie’s 2013 album The Next Day . Alongside his work with Bowie, Slick has continued to record, perform and collaborate throughout his career, including releasing the solo album Zig Zag and working with original Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock.
