To mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September, two of your favorite local venues - The Old Orchard Inn (Rathfarnham) and The Goat Bar & Grill (Goatstown) - are teaming up once again to host our Community Family Fun Day on Saturday, September 5th, 2026.

We’re inviting families, friends, and neighbors to join us for a day filled with entertainment, delicious food, and fun activities for all ages. Most importantly, we are coming together to raise vital funds for Childhood Cancer Ireland, the national charity supporting children, young people, and their families impacted by childhood cancer.

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: The Goat Bar & Grill, Goatstown

🐾 Mobile Petting Farm: Get up close with friendly animals - a hit for kids of all ages!

🎶 Kids DJ: Keeping the energetic vibe going with music and party games.

🎩 Kids Entertainers: High-energy laughter, magic, and fun to keep little ones smiling.

🎨 Face Painting: Bright, colorful designs brought to life by our talent team.

🍔 BBQ & Refreshments: Delicious sizzled favourites, snacks, and sweet treats available throughout the day.

Admission tickets for this event are donation-based. We kindly ask that you choose a donation amount when reserving your tickets here on Eventbrite. 100% of proceeds raised go directly to supporting Childhood Cancer Ireland. See below to get tickets and donate, suggested donation of €5 per person.

Childhood Cancer Ireland is Ireland's national charity representing children, teenagers, and young adults with cancer, as well as survivors and their families. As a parent-led charity, they provide vital practical and emotional supports, fund patient comforts, and advocate for better services and research.

Every donation makes a real difference in helping families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis.

Admission: Open to all ages (and dog-friendly in outdoor areas!).

Food & Drink: Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the BBQ and venue bars. Table reservations for indoor dining can be booked directly with the venues.
