About This Event

Upcoming on 10 October 2026 at Pearse Street Library in Dublin, Cushion Concerts presents an interactive musical experience where attendees from the Irish Baroque Orchestra will guide participants to conjure sound using magic hands. The event explores rhythmic play and auditory discovery, inviting guests to join in a unique sonic adventure led by professional musicians. Visitors are welcome to participate in this forthcoming performance which blends education with live music within the library's intimate setting.

Join musicians from the Irish Baroque Orchestra for another Cushion Concert adventure!

In this Cushion Concert we'll discover our magic hands, and use them to conjure sounds! There will be plenty of singing, clapping, dancing, and maybe even some conducting...

Bring along a cushion, and don't forget to bring your ears!

Cushion Concerts are offered for free to all families. If you are able to consider making a donation then this will be gratefully appreciated, and will help us to keep these events free in future.

Approx. running time 30-40 minutes

Please do let us know if your plans change and you are no longer able to attend - we do place a cap on attendance numbers, and we expect to have a waiting list.

Cushion Concerts are presented in partnership with Dublin City Council. The Irish Baroque Orchestra receives principal funding from Arts Council Ireland.
