A fantastic night of Folk/Acoustic/Americana from two of Dublin's great Singer-Songwriters.

Two behemoths of the Dublin music scene - Darren Flynn & Mark Flynn, playing live in the one show in the International, Friday 28th August 2026.

Mark Flynn

Blessed with a voice that can well and truly soar, Mark Flynn blends his organic guitar playing with a vocal that is turns powerful, tender and innocent. Formerly a member of The Blood Red Mountain Band, his solo work is both emotionally energetic and introspective.

Inhabiting the liminal space between genres like alt-country, folk and rock and roll delivered with a distinctly honest tone. Cited influences are: The Waterboys, The Band, Bob Dylan and The Pogues. He is currently developing songs to be included on an album, a follow up to the Blood Red Mountain Band’s Number 1 album Far From Daylight. A northsider who spent his summers growing up on the beach, Mark currently plays a Monday night residency in the famous International Bar in Dublin City.

Darren Flynn

Darren Flynn’s star is steadily rising on the back of a series of recent releases. Hot Press magazine noted “Flynn’s ability to convey sentiment with his trademark musical style” and described his track ‘I Ain’t Gonna Worry About It” as “a brand new feel-good classic for the fans of folk and country.”

Latest release ‘Pinebox’ attracted a host of positive reviews, with the likes of Firefox Magazine calling it “powerful” and “deeply affecting” and TheOtherSideReviews.com saying: “As a melodic social commentary on the politics of war, this oscillation between frenzied fire and a subdued hush is outstanding”.

Flynn also received strong support for his previous singles “Mountain Whiskey” and “Big Blue Moon” which were both embraced by Radio Nova’s Pat James and RTE Radio 1’s Brian Lally on his show “Country Time” who called Flynn’s music “Mighty fine ...perfect for a ‘Hooch’ special”.
