A Decade of Bold, Award-Nominated Storytelling

Gareth Stack’s decade behind the camera spans major national platforms and international festival circuits:

National Television Broadcasts: Stack’s debut feature documentary, Sightless Cinema (2025), was broadcast on RTÉ Television and RTÉ Player, following the lives and creative journeys of visually impaired audio drama creators.

International Festival Success: His recent short comedy Known to the Gardaí was selected for the prestigious Healdsburg International Short Film Festival in California, while his experimental short documentary Good Boys will screen at the Edmonton Underground Film Festival in Canada in November.

Global Screenings: His short documentary Breath of the Mountain—produced during the Caucasus Cinema residency in Georgia—recently screened in the US and Berlin, at 90mil's Pollen Interdisciplinary Arts Festival. His collaboration with composer Ed Devane, What Is Lost Can Never Be Found, debuted as part of the Irish Artists Film Index and was featured alongside international works at Gallery X

Norea Collective: Gareth is part of the Norea Collective, a Berlin based group of experimental filmmakers including Jean Michel Brawand, Atanaz and Ivan Babinchak who work includes the feature 'The Gift of Pain', which debuted last year at the Lausanne festival in Switzerland

Music Video: Gareth began his career creating music videos for artists like Powerful Creative Minds (the debut act from international superstar Jazzy), and filmmaker and musician David Turpin (who's first short film recently won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Toronto International Film Festival)

On the night we'll be screening ten never before public short films, including the internationally successful 'Known to the Gardai' and 'Good Boys'.
