A few years ago, a legend emerged of someone who claimed to have seen the "Valley of the Homosexuals"—describing a dark, ominous place. For decades, belonging to the LGBTQIAPN+ community was misunderstood and marginalized, simply for being who you are and loving who you love.

Through years of struggle and resistance, we reclaimed our story and transformed those old tales into a legend of our own. We took terms meant to diminish us and turned them into symbols of pride, magic, and community. We created our own Enchanted Valley—a safe haven defined by love, belonging, and the power of living authentically.

✨ What’s in a Name?

The name Manas do Vale blends rich Brazilian culture with local slang:

🔮 "Manas" is short for irmãs (sisters)—the Portuguese equivalent of "sis" or "besties."

🌙 "Do Vale" (from the valley) is a beloved slang term for the LGBTQIAPN+ community, inspired by the idea of an Enchanted Valley where everyone can unleash their true, authentic spirit.

You can think of us as the "Sisters from the Enchanted Valley." 🌈✨

Following the spellbinding success of our first gathering, Manas do Vale in Dublin is back to summon the spirits for our Second Edition Halloween Party!

This is the ultimate safe space created for queer and sapphic women—whether Brazilian or international—to express themselves freely through music, dance, and creative expression without judgment, boundaries, or language barriers.
