Dublin Maker will host an open fashion show running twice daily on 23 August 2026 at Leopardstown Racecourse. This celebration of creativity features workshops under the STEAM theme.
Dublin Maker is a celebration of creativity, innovation, and all things STEAM. Join us for our Open Fashion Show running twice daily!
Dublin Maker is a free, family-friendly festival that celebrates making, invention, and creativity in all its forms - from electronics and robotics to traditional crafts. Makers from across Ireland come together to show off their projects and share their skills with the public in a hands-on, interactive setting. This year the festival takes over Leopardstown Racecourse with 70+ maker stands, large-scale outdoor exhibits, two full days of workshops for all ages, and a dedicated kids area. It's open to everyone: families, hobbyists, educators, and anyone who's curious.

What is the Open Fashion Show?
Did you hem a shirt? Take in a pair of trousers? Turn a pile of fabric into a whole outfit from scratch? We want to see it on the catwalk!
Every maker who has put needle to thread is welcome: sewn a patch, upcycled an old jumper, tailored something to actually fit, or gone all-in on a full costume build. Beginner alterations and ambitious builds are equally welcome. If you made it (or made it better), come walk it.
All ages and all skill levels welcome. Whether you're 8 or 80, whether this is your first time picking up a needle or you've been sewing for years, if you made something, this catwalk is for you.
No judging, no competition. Just a chance to show off your work and celebrate what everyone's made. Everyone who takes part is a winner.
How it works: Before you walk, you'll fill in a short card about your make: what it is, what inspired it, and anything you're proud of. As you take to the catwalk, we'll read your card out to the crowd, so everyone knows exactly what they're looking at and the story behind it.
Whether it's your first ever hem or your tenth full costume, come walk the catwalk and show Dublin Maker what you made.
