About the Event

Take a break from work, get outdoors, and connect with other remote and hybrid workers from across North Dublin.

Join volunteers from Grow Remote North Dublin for a casual picnic at the beautiful grounds of Ardgillan Castle & Demesne. This is a relaxed, family-friendly gathering designed to bring people together, strengthen local connections, and enjoy some fresh air in a wonderful coastal setting.

Whether you're fully remote, hybrid, self-employed, freelancing, running a business, job seeking, or simply curious about remote work, you’re very welcome. Come meet others who work locally but remotely, and help us grow a stronger community across North Dublin.

Where to Find Us

We will be gathering in the picnic area close to the Ardgillan Playground, making it easy for families with children to enjoy the day together.Look out for the Grow Remote volunteers!

We will have a small gazebo and a table set up as our main meeting point so you can easily spot the group when you arrive.

What to Bring

This is a fully "Bring Your Own Food" (BYOF) event. Please make sure to pack everything you need for comfort:

Your own food, snacks, and drinks

If you can, bring a little extra food to share with others (+4) — perhaps a favourite dish or snack from your country or culture. Let’s make it a truly multinational picnic! 🌍

Your own picnic blankets, folding camp chairs, or portable tables

Family, friends, colleagues, or neighbours

Outdoor games or activities if you'd like to share them with the group

Please note: BBQs are NOT permitted anywhere on the grounds of Ardgillan Castle.
