About This Event

Join Our Earthy Collective for a cosy evening of good food, good people and a little Samhain magic! All while giving back! ✨ Come gather with the Collective Sunday, 1 November 2026 | 5pm–8pm | Cornucopia, Dublin Join Our Earthy Collective for a cosy evening of community, creativity, good food and seasonal celebration. As the seasons turn and the evenings draw in, we're gathering to celebrate Samhain, a turning point in the Celtic seasonal calendar and a time to reflect on the changing season as the darker half of the year begins. Whether you're coming with friends or arriving on your own, you're warmly welcome. This is an evening to slow down, enjoy good food, meet like-minded people, and celebrate the season together. 🥘 Good food, good company We'll begin by coming together over a delicious vegan main course with a side from Cornucopia, one of Dublin's much-loved plant-based restaurants. It's a chance to settle in, share a meal and ease into the evening. Your ticket also includes one drink of your choice. Whether you fancy a cheeky glass of wine or a beer, a refreshing kombucha, fresh juice or another non-alcoholic option, the choice is entirely yours. 🍁 Time to connect, create and unwind After the meal, there'll be space to mingle, chat and enjoy the social side of the evening. We'll have seasonal crafts and creative activities to get involved in, alongside a relaxed atmosphere for meeting new people and spending time together. You might find yourself making something autumn-inspired, settling into a game of chess or cards, or simply enjoying a drink and a good conversation. There's no pressure to take part in everything. Whether you're feeling creative, sociable or simply in the mood to unwind, we'd love you to feel at home. 🍃 Our tree-planting partnership We're delighted to welcome Gearóid McEvoy, founder of Reforest Nation and Our Earthy Collective's tree-planting partner, who will join us to share more about his work and the impact of native Irish tree planting. Gearóid will tell us about the work Reforest Nation is doing to restore Ireland's native woodlands, and the trees that donations from our Samhain Social will help plant. It's a wonderful opportunity to hear first-hand how our contributions make a difference, learn more about the importance of restoring native habitats, and discover how small collective actions can create a lasting positive impact on our natural environment. 🎙️ Bringing the evening together: our open mic As the evening unfolds, we'll come together for an open mic celebrating creativity, stories and shared expression. We're delighted to welcome Ceara Carney, host of the Book of Leaves Podcast, as our MC for the open mic. Ceara will also take part herself, helping create a welcoming space for poetry, short stories, personal reflections, music, and other creative contributions. Have something you'd like to share? We'd love to hear from you. Email ourearthycollective@mailbox.org so we can plan the evening. All styles and voices are welcome. About Our Earthy Collective www.ourearthycollective.ie (https://www.ourearthycollective.ie/) Our Earthy Collective (OEC) is an all-Ireland environmental platform connecting people, businesses and organisations with positive environmental action. Launched in its current form in May 2026, building on work already underway, we're making sustainable living, community connection and environmental action more accessible across Ireland. We're a 100% volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation. Through our popular monthly Big Vegan Hike series, we bring people together to get outdoors, connect with like-minded people and build a stronger sense of community. Samhain Social brings that same spirit into an evening of food, creativity and seasonal connection. We're also approaching an exciting milestone of 3,000 native Irish trees planted. Donations from this event will be split equally, with 50% supporting Our Earthy Collective's work - keeping our platform FREE and ACCESSIBLE to all- and 50% supporting native Irish tree planting through Reforest Nation. 🎟️ Your ticket €40 per person, including: A vegan main course with a side from Cornucopia One drink of your choice, alcoholic or non-alcoholic Seasonal crafts and creative activities The open mic and other planned elements of the evening A contribution to our work at OEC and native Irish tree planting We're keeping this gathering intimate, with just 25 places available, so everyone has room to relax, connect and enjoy the evening. Come as you are, bring your curiosity and join us for an evening of seasonal magic, good food and collective connection. We can't wait to gather with you. 🍂 Hosted by Our Earthy Collective, in collaboration with Cornucopia and Reforest Nation.
