On Saturday 10 October, from 1–4 p.m., we will gather around the table to read and explore Oscar Wilde’s celebrated comedy The Importance of Being Earnest.

A wonderfully sharp and playful work of mistaken identities, social conventions, romance and wit, The Importance of Being Earnest offers plenty to explore through a shared reading of the text.

Tabletop Readings is about bringing people together around plays — to read, listen, discuss and discover what emerges when a work is explored collectively. The sessions are informal, intimate and open to anyone with an interest in theatre.

Whether you're an actor, writer, theatre-maker, student, regular theatre-goer or simply curious about experiencing a play in a different way, you're very welcome to join us.
