Celebrate the New Album 'The Day Homo Sapiens Destroyed the Earth' with a night of Anarchic, Raw, Punk Folk Energy!

The evening of Saturday 14 November will see the official Dublin launch and signings of Wasps vs Humans' new album and first vinyl pressing - The Day Homo Sapiens Destroyed the Earth, at Thomas House Dublin.

To mark the occasion, limited copies of the new vinyl are available to pre-order exclusively through this Eventbrite page as part of an exclusive bundle.

Bundle includes one admission ticket and a limited edition album on vinyl for €35.

Recorded between Dublin and Cork, the album is the culmination of two years of gigging, capturing the raw energy of the live show in a harder, grittier yet more melodic sound. Heavy guitar riffs and thundering beats collide with harmonies, folk influences, whistles and bodhrán — though there’s not a trad song in sight!

Joining Wasps vs Humans on the night are special guests, THEWLIS from Dublin.

The duo, named after renowned English actor David Thewlis, are Donegal native Danny McElhinney, and Dubliner Cormac Curtis. First playing together in the indie rock band, Mahogany Men in the nineties, they convened as Thewlis in the capital just before lockdown in 2020.

They have released eight singles to streaming services, are well-received by critics and have enjoyed enthusiastic radio play both at home and abroad; their musical style encompasses alternative rock, punk, folk, and dark-toned country.
