About This Event

Discover heritage and poetry at No. 11 Parnell Square on this exclusive after-hours tour. Dr. Emma O’Toole, the Collections and Interpretation Manager at The Irish Heritage Trust and Dr. Orla Fitzpatrick, Librarian at Poetry Ireland, will show Young Irish Georgians around this historic Georgian building. Following a major conservation-led restoration at No. 11 Parnell Square, the house is now home to the Irish Heritage Trust, Poetry Ireland and the Irish Landmark Trust - bringing together organisations dedicated to protecting, celebrating and sharing Ireland’s heritage and culture. The restored building was officially opened by Uachtarán na hÉireann, Catherine Connolly on 7th May 2026, which marked the completion of a major conservation-led restoration and the beginning of a new chapter for the historic building as Ireland’s Home for Poetry and Heritage – a significant milestone in the development of Parnell Square’s growing cultural quarter. Profits from ticket sales will support our 2026-27 Heritage Project (TBC).
