One of Ireland’s most fearless and uncompromising comedians, David McSavage, comes to Toales Live Venue, Dundalk on Saturday, September 5, with his brand-new stand-up show that hits where it hurts - Pig Ignorant.

Creator and star of RTÉ’s cult satire The Savage Eye, McSavage has spent more than two decades gleefully taking aim at Irish politics, religion, media and society. From his infamous days performing on the streets to sold-out shows around the country, his comedy has built a reputation for being raw, confrontational and very definitely without a safety catch.

Pig Ignorant turns his attention to injustice, anger and, in McSavage’s words, the “collapsed assholes” who make life miserable while remaining absolutely convinced they’re right.

At the heart of the show is something most of us know only too well: that argument where you say nothing in the moment, only to spend the next three days inventing the devastating comeback you should have delivered. McSavage digs into grudges, resentment and the importance — and occasional danger — of standing up for yourself.

Expect an evening of brutally candid, revenge-fuelled comedy from a performer who has never shown much interest in behaving himself.
