This discipleship weekend is from 23rd - 25th Oct and is open for anyone in School Yrs 11-14.(i.e. 14-18's) We are pleased to announce that the Kilbroney Weekend (23rd- 25th October 2026) is now open for bookings and we are really looking forward to welcoming young people (currently in Year 11 to Year 14) to this fun and faith-filled residential. Cost: Cost per person is £80*. We realise that this is an important opportunity for young people so if you or a family you know are struggling to pay this amount then please contact us about bursaries available. (*Cost does not include Eventbrite booking fee) BOOKING DETAILS: Each place must be booked individually by a parent. There is no need for attendees to have church leaders with them as we will provide a leadership team. Cost is £80 with £25 required upon booking and the rest by the start of the residential. More details on booking and payment will be provided as you complete the registration process. Weekend Theme - Rethrone In certain corners of culture right now, following Jesus has become genuinely fashionable. High-profile conversions and public faith journeys from artists and public figures have pushed Christianity back into the cultural conversation, and it's even shown up as a genuine trend among teenagers, some finding their way to faith through social media rather than a church building. But faith in Christ isn't a trend to ride—it's a way of life. Jesus's teachings show us what it actually means to follow him and make him our King. This weekend, we're digging into what that actually looks like. Not the hashtag version of faith, but the real thing—what Jesus said, why it still matters, and what it means to actually follow him rather than just admire him from a distance. Come with questions. Come with doubts. Come and find out what all the fuss is really about. WHAT WE WILL BE DOING BIBLE TEACHING sessions will include worship, time to reflect and prayer. (There will also be an opportunity for anyone interested in worship to get involved with the worship group) SMALL GROUPS is a time were we break into smaller groups to discuss what we have learned about life and God and to pray together. GROUP ACTIVITIES will be activities and team challenges based around the Kilbroney centre and Rostrevor that young people will get to do together in groups. EVENING ACTIVITIES including campfire, late night worship, group talent show, and other stuff we haven't thought of yet...! ABOUT US Kilbroney Weekend is an initiative of the Diocese of Down and Dromore as part of our objective to support the faith of young people. Our aims for the weekend are to: Grow young people in their faith through providing bible study, devotions, worship & fellowship. Teach and develop skills in leadership, teamwork and in new activities. Build self-esteem, regard for others and friendships. The Kilbroney Centre is one of the premier centres for youth groups in Northern Ireland. Accommodation includes meeting rooms, lounges, classrooms and a games room.
