Dundalk metal heavyweights Words That Burn return to Toales with Psychotic Outsider and Aergia. Sat 21 Nov, 9PM. Admission €10.

Dundalk Metal heavyweights Words That Burn return to Toales on Saturday 21 November, heading up a powerful three-band bill alongside Galway's Psychotic Outsider and local rising stars Aergia.

Formed in 2010, Words That Burn have established themselves as one of Ireland's most formidable alternative metal acts, combining crushing riffs, soaring melodies and emotionally charged songwriting. Drawing influences from Deftones, Architects and Slipknot, the band have built an impressive following at home and abroad, with acclaimed albums including Praey and Regret Is for the Dead, the latter reaching No. 1 on the Irish iTunes rock and metal charts. Their intense live performances have made them firm favourites on the Irish metal circuit.

Joining them are Galway's Psychotic Outsider, whose sound fuses hardcore, metal and punk rock influences, delivering an aggressive, hard-hitting sound driven by powerful riffs and dynamic rhythms. With a brand-new album due for release in November, the Toales appearance comes at an exciting time for the Galway outfit.

Completing the bill are Dundalk three-piece Aergia, no strangers to Toales following appearances at the venue's Battle of the Bands and original music showcases. Their energetic blend of grunge, punk and alternative rock makes them a fitting addition to the line-up.

With three original acts, a hometown headline performance and admission at just €10, it's another cracking night for Dundalk's heavy music scene.
