Join artist and naturalist Steve Pardue for a hands-on, immersive introduction to the art of journaling.

Join artist and naturalist Steve Pardue for a hands-on, immersive introduction to the art of journaling. Through guided exploration of the landscape, heritage and wildlife around you, you’ll create your own personal journal and discover new ways to connect with the places you visit.

This FREE session is all about observation and creative expression. No artistic experience is needed, just curiosity, a love of nature and a willingness to give it a go. You’ll learn simple techniques for developing a journaling habit and capturing the world around you in your own unique way.

Steve will guide you through his process and will introduce you to his unique way of looking at nature and gain a better understanding as to the importance of observing and recording the nature on your doorstep. The session is suitable for everyone no matter your drawing skills.

If you can, bring along some photographs (on your phone or tablet) of your garden or local nature patch for reference. You can also bring your own sketching materials if you wish.

Your stories, memories and local knowledge will help shape the new Fife Coastal Path interpretation panels, which will be installed along the route in 2027.
