Antonia will explore some of the key themes, stories and artefacts featured in the exhibition – from the Colonial Nursing Association and the legacies of the British Empire to the Windrush generation and the role of global majority nurses in the development of UK sickle cell nursing. This talk will shine a light on the stories of some of those who have moved to care, from the nineteenth century to the present day.
