Part of Nature-Based Solutions Week: Creating a Climate Ready Tayside

Join the River South Esk Catchment Partnership for a field visit to Rottal Estate, Glen Clova, offering a unique opportunity to explore over a decade of river restoration progress in a single day.

For more than ten years, the River South Esk Catchment Partnership has worked with Rottal Estate on projects designed to improve climate resilience, restore natural river processes and enhance habitats for wildlife. This visit will showcase two restoration projects at very different stages of development: the March Burn, currently in its first year of restoration, and the Rottal Burn, where restoration work was carried out more than a decade ago.

By comparing these sites, participants will gain insight into how rivers respond over time and the long-term benefits that nature-based solutions can deliver for biodiversity, water management and climate resilience.
