A talk by Cyrus Goodger
The talk will cover a brief history of the CWGC and its work today. Beginning with how the Commission began, its work during the First and Second World Wars and concluding with its work today in maintaining and preserving our historic estate around the world. The presentation will also focus on the war graves in our local area and tell the stories of some of those we commemorate.
Doors open from 12.30pm at the Glasite Hall on King Street. Please enter from the churchyard or the east side of the building (the lift is available from both sides but the accessible door is at the east entrance). You DO NOT need to bring a printed ticket.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available to purchase before the talk. Entry to the talks are free but if you would like to make a donation towards the hire of the hall, there will be a donations tin available.
If you need to cancel for any reason, please do so via Eventbrite or email us on archives@dundeecity.gov.uk.
