Muddy Wellies: Meet a Tree will occur on 5 November 2026 at Easington Lane Community Access Point in Durham. This event includes a series of free outdoor walks and activities for young children in Elemore park.
Bring your little ones along to join us for a series of free, fun, weekly outdoor walks and activities in Elemore park.
Muddy Wellies is supported by Public Health Sunderland to get young children outdoors to improve their health and wellbeing, develop new skills and learn about nature.
Sessions are aimed at pre-school children between 2 and 5 years and will take place outdoors in October and November.
In this session let's discover all the different kinds of trees and how they help support all kinds of life. We will practice teamwork and communication in the outdoors through fun trust games.

To gain the most from our programme, we recommend you come to all six sessions, but if you cannot make it to all the sessions, just message Lyze to let them know.
Little ones must be accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential. Tickets are only required for children.
Toilets are available at ELCAP.
Please come dressed for outdoor activities appropriate to the weather of the day including sturdy shoes, layers and waterproofs.
All activity equipment will be provided for each session. We kindly ask that you bring a filled water bottle, a snack and a bag to carry it all in.
